Day 2. Estonia.

 Day 2 (contd)      ESTONIA

Quickly disembarked at 3:30 in Tallinn and exited the port area. Only 2 cyclists on board and we were allowed off before the trucks..

The port area is being modernised and developed just like Dublin.

I cycled up through the Rannavarav Gate into the nearby old city, reputed to be the best preserved medieval city in the world.

Crowded along the narrow streets and especially in the central square. And, of course, there was Mrs Murphy's Irish Pub at the centre of it all.

I walked these streets with very rough cobbles. But the centre is so  compact.

Once I left Old Town it was just like every other city.

It was another 15km to my accommodation, but it was along some nicely appointed cycle paths.

Intime I arived at my accommodation for tonight. I'm staying at the premises of a football club, FC Nomme United and the pitches are in full use as I arrive. They have 20 rooms upstairs for accommodation.

All freshened up and I had a juicy burger at a diner just a short distance away

Onto longer distances tomorrow to stretch the legs.

PS. Both in Helsinki and here in Tallinn I,was amazed at the high number of abandoned e-scooters on all streets and roads.

Thank God for the health and thank God for the energy.
